Born in 1971, Mr. Audace NIYONZIMA earned a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Economic Sciences in 2002 from the University of Yaoundé II in Cameroon. From 2003 to 2017, he held successive positions as Economist, Director of the Money and Financial Markets Department, and Director of the Economic Studies Department at the Bank of the Republic of Burundi. He was subsequently appointed Commissioner General of the Burundi Revenue Authority in 2017, then 1st Deputy Governor of the Central Bank in 2021, and is currently serving as Minister of Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning since 2022.
