Achraf TARSIM

African Development Bank

Achraf Tarsim has led the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) programs and projects in Morocco since July 2021, overseeing key initiatives and deepening collaboration with the Bank’s first partner country on the continent. He previously served as the AfDB’s Regional Sector Head for North Africa, where he managed one of the Bank’s largest project portfolios and led operations in energy, infrastructure, and the financial sector across the region. 
 
With extensive experience at AfDB, Achraf has implemented projects in over 20 African countries and helped develop the Bank’s major strategies, including those for financial sector development and Africa’s industrialization. 
 
He holds advanced degrees in international economics, economics, and law, as well as specialized training in public finance from Harvard Kennedy School.
