THE AFIS AWARDS 2022 REWARDED THE FIGURES OF AFRICAN FINANCIAL SECTOR’S GROWTH 

For the first time, companies and leaders who have strongly contributed to the growth of the African financial sector were rewarded at the AFIS AWARDS 2022, organized in partnership with Mazars. 

Lomé, Togo, November 28, 2022 – For its first physical edition, the AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT rewarded the figures of the continent’s financial vitality and resilience. Nominees included companies, executives, and central bank governors representing the entire continent. 

The award ceremony took place during the gala dinner of the AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT, held on Monday, November 28 in Lomé. Nominees competed in five categories: African Champion, Disrupter of the year, Woman Leader, and Central Bank Governor. For each category, juries composed of renowned professionals and experts had the task of picking a winner. Also, the editorial team of the AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT inducted a personality from the financial sector into the “Hall of Excellence”.
