Philip Sigwart

Philip Sigwart is CEO of Baobab Group, a French-based company offering microfinancing and financial services to SMEs in Africa and China. Before joining Baobab, Philip served as Director for SME Banking at Equity Group Holdings, one of the leading banking groups in East Africa. Previously, he held several senior management positions at the ProCredit Group, and served as CEO in ProCredit subsidiaries in Kosovo, Georgia, and DRC. He started his career within the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – Russia Small Business Fund. Philip holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
