Joshua RUGEMA

Joshua Rugema is currently the Chief Executive Officer at East Africa Exchange (EAX), a regional commodity exchange working to connect markets and grow trade in East Africa. Prior to joining EAX, Joshua was the Managing Director at H2O Venture Partners, providing leadership for the firms Africa operations. H2O Venture Partners is an investment firm that is building and investing in profitable, high-growth, high-impact, agricultural and health ventures in Africa. Joshua Rugema also served as the East Africa Portfolio Director at Palladium Group, a global impact and management consulting firm working in over 90 countries. Joshua was in charge of leading Palladium’s private, direct to Government, and locally sourced donor activities in East Africa. Prior to this, Joshua Rugema spent 10 years in private equity and investment management at RGG Capital Partners in the United States of America. He began his career in sales and supply chain management at the Weaver Company, a fast-growing international snack Food Company with facilities in the United States of America, Europe and Argentina. He has over 20 years of cross-industry experience in international supply chain and sales, operations, structured trade, private equity, and venture capital. Joshua has served on a variety of corporate and public sector boards globally and currently serves as the Ag. Chairman of the National Agricultural Export Board (NAEB) in Rwanda.
