Francis CHIPIMO

Dr. Francis Chipimo is the Deputy Governor Operations at the Bank of Zambia (since July 19, 2019). He is responsible for monetary policy formulation and implementation, the supervision of the financial sector and banking, currency and payment system functions. He is also the Registrar of Financial Service Providers. Previously he served as the Director of Economics at the Bank of Zambia, Advisor at the Ministry of Finance, and as a Senior Economist in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. Dr Chipimo has a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Development Economics from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). He also has a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Zambia. Dr. Chipimo is also a Chevening Scholar.
