El-Hassana Kaba

Founder and Managing Director, Mansa Bank

El-Hassana, a product of the American and British banking system, has more than 20 years of experience, notably with Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank in Abidjan, Douala, Yaoundé and Lagos. At the time of joining Standard Chartered Bank Shanghai in China, where he was promoted to Director Metal & Mining, he preferred to stay in Africa to take up the position of General Manager of Banque Atlantique Sénégal. During his time at this bank, he carried out various transactions, culminating in the largest transaction to date on the Dakar market, namely the structuring and raising of CFA 250 billion in financing for the State of Senegal in 45 days.

In 2015, he decided to leave his position as CEO of a bank to embark on the adventure of entrepreneurship and devote himself entirely to the realization of his oldest dream: the creation of an African Bank with 100% capital from the WAEMU zone. Three years later, MANSA BANK was born with a capital of 15,707,650,000 CFA francs, fully paid up and entirely held by 100% WAEMU capital.  El-Hassana holds a postgraduate degree in Strategy and Innovation from Oxford University and a Certificate in Business Management from Paris IX-Daupine University. He also holds a Certificate in Creating Shared Value from the Harvard Business School. He also holds a Master’s degree in Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the UNIVERSITY OF ABIDJAN.
