Dr. Corneille KAREKEZI, Group Managing Director & CEO, Africa Re 

Dr. Corneille KAREKEZI is the Group MD/CEO of Africa Re since 2011. Africa Re, rated A/Stable, is the largest and financially strongest reinsurance company in Africa and the Middle East, with 2022 revenue amounting to US$ 952 million. 

He has contributed significantly to the development of the African (re)insurance industry and is a sought-after speaker on matters of insurance and risk management around the world. 

He serves on governing bodies of various financial institutions and insurance organizations, including the Executive Council of the International Insurance Society and the Executive Committee of the African Insurance Organization of which he is a member.
