As Commercial and Management Engineer, Alain Kaninda worked for nearly 10 years as a financial auditor in Belgium (PWC) and as a consultant to international organizations (World Bank/IFC) and public institutions based in the DRC. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Director General of the nascent Insurance Regulatory and Supervisory Authority (ARCA), after having worked as an Economic Advisor to the Director of Cabinet of the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was confirmed as General Manager of ARCA by Presidential Order n°22/011 of January 25, 2022.
