With 40 million inhabitants and the 7th largest GDP on the continent (US$115 billion), the country has made significant strides in strengthening its financial infrastructure, modernising its banking sector – with assets reaching an estimated 40 billion USD – and expanding access to capital. Economic diversification is accelerating under Angola Vision 2050, reducing dependence on oil through investment in agriculture, mining, manufacturing and financial services. Major infrastructure projects such as the Lobito Corridor further highlight its ambition. Angola’s commitment to reform and financial inclusion, combined with a booming regional connectivity, positions it as a key player in Africa’s financial landscape.
