Vasco JANUÁRIO

Vasco João Mendes Januário, married, Angolan national, was born on October 
18, 1986.
He was appointed Executive Director of the Capital Markets Commission in 
2024 by Presidential Order No. 308/24 of December 26.
At the Ministry of Finance, he held the position of Advisor to the Secretary of 
State for Finance and Treasury. He was also a member of the Supervisory 
Board of the Angola Sovereign Fund and the Remuneration Committee of the 
Savings and Credit Bank.
At CMC, he was Director of the Office of Studies and Strategy, Head of Division 
of the Department of Studies, Strategy, and Market Development, and Senior 
Technician in the same department.
He also worked in banking, having held the position of Transaction Monitoring 
Technician in the Compliance Department of Banco Millennium Atlântico and 
Transaction Monitoring Technician in the Compliance Department of the same 
bank.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Catholic University of Porto 
in Portugal and a degree in Accounting and Administration from the Catholic 
University of Angola.
