Henry Mascot is the co-founder and CEO of Curacel, the modern insurance infrastructure powering protection for millions across emerging markets. Under his leadership, Curacel has raised $3.5 million from world-class investors including Y Combinator, Tencent, and Google, and has grown into a 40-person team driving innovation in the insurance space.Prior to Curacel, Henry led Growth (Sales + Product) at 54Gene, the YC-backed “23andMe for Africa” with $94.7M in funding, where he spearheaded provider partnerships and expansion. He also played a pivotal role at AmplifyPay, Nigeria’s first recurring payments gateway (acquired by Carbon), leading growth initiatives with top banks such as GTBank, Zenith Bank, and Access Bank.

Henry holds an Engineering degree and is a graduate of the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Africa, a pan-African entrepreneurial program. He is passionate about building technology that expands access to financial and healthcare services in underserved markets.
