Aldemiro GONCALVES

Born in Malanje on February 5, 1992.
He holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Angola (UCAN), with a specialization in Judicial, Political, and Economic Law, completed in 2015. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Law at the same institution and also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Corporate Governance from CIDIP.
His academic background is complemented by several international specializations, including the Global Certificate Program for Regulators of Securities Markets, conducted in partnership with the International Organization of Securities Commissions, the Program on International Financial Systems, and Harvard Law School. He has also completed advanced training programs such as Insurance Law, offered by the Macau Institute of Financial Training in collaboration with the Macau Monetary Authority; Securities Market and Financial Instruments, by the Portuguese Securities Institute and the University of Lisbon; Financial and Securities Markets, through the Brazilian Securities Commission (CMVM) and the Brazil Stock Exchange (B3); and a specialization in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance by Humboldt Global in South Africa.
Professionally, he began his career as a trainee lawyer at the former RGT – Advogados law firm. In 2016, he joined the Capital Market Commission, where he served as Senior Legal Officer in the Department of Collective Investment Organizations and Issuers. He was later appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in 2019, became Advisor to the Chairman and the Board of the same institution.
At the Capital Market Commission, he also served as Deputy Coordinator of the Regulatory Impact Assessment Committee and Member of the Legal and Regulation Committee. In 2022, he was appointed Director of the Legal Office of the Angolan Insurance Regulation and Supervision Agency, and also became Coordinator of the Liquidation Commission for Garantia Seguros and Triunfal Seguros.
In the academic field, his career began in 2015 as a teaching assistant in Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Angola, a position he held until 2022. He also lectured in Economic Law at the Faculty of Economics and Management until 2021. Currently, he teaches the subject Introduction to Legal Studies at both the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Management at the same university.
