Francisca Costa is Vice Chair and Non-Executive Director of BFA Capital Markets.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in banking, financial services, audit, with expertise in strategy, risk management, governance and initiatives that support value creation.

In her current role, she contributes to the development of Angola’s capital markets and to expanding access to investment opportunities.

Francisca joined the BFA Group in 2017 as Head of Accounting and Planning. She subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Banco de Fomento Angola, as well as Vice Chair of BFA Asset Management.

Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade at KPMG as a financial auditor in Portugal and Angola.

She holds a degree in Business Finance from ISCTE Business School and has completed the Advanced International Corporate Finance Program at INSEAD, the Advanced Leadership Program at IMD, and a Specialized Programme in Corporate Sustainability at Nova School of Business and Economics.

She is currently undertaking INSEAD’s International Directors Programme.
