Born in Dakar, Mr. Mamadou DEME holds the following academic qualifications:

1994: Postgraduate Diploma in Insurance (Top of the 11th graduating class) from the International Insurance Institute of Yaoundé;
1991: Postgraduate studies (DEA) in Business Law at Cheikh Anta Diop University, Dakar;
1990: Master’s degree in Law (Business Law specialization), Cheikh Anta Diop University, Dakar.
He has served as Director of Insurance since January 5, 2012.

Mr. DEME also represents the State of Senegal on the boards of several national and international companies, including:

• AMSA Assurances Group
• Société Sénégalaise de Réassurance (SEN-RE)
  CICA-RE (Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets Reinsurance Company).

In 2023, he was appointed:

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Insurance Institute of Yaoundé;
Chairman of the CIMA Committee of Experts.
He previously held the following positions:

• Insurance Commissioner and Controller, March 1995, at the Directorate of Insurance;
• Head of the Financial Operations Division, January 1997, at the Directorate of Insurance.
