Mr. Mamadou G. K. KONE is a distinguished business leader renowned for his expertise and leadership in the African insurance sector, with over 25 years of experience.

On April 2, 2024, following an exemplary career, he was appointed as the head of the new SanlamAllianz Côte d’Ivoire Insurance Holding Company — an entity born from the merger of two giants of the African insurance industry — further consolidating his status as a leading figure in the sector. Beyond his responsibilities within Allianz, Mr. KONE has stood out for his commitment at the continental level.

He served as a member of the Executive Bureau of FANAF (Federation of African National Law Insurance Companies) for six (6) years, as well as a member of the CIMA Experts Committee. Since April 29, 2021, he has been President of the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d’Ivoire (ASA-CI), and in January 2023, he was appointed Vice-President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI).

Mr. KONE is also Vice-President of the Management Board of the Ivorian National Bureau of the ECOWAS Brown Card, a structure that facilitates vehicle insurance across the ECOWAS region, and an Honorary Member of the Association of African Actuaries based in Paris.

In recognition of his major contributions to the development of the insurance industry in Côte d’Ivoire and across Africa, Mr. KONE was awarded the title of Knight of the National Order of Côte d’Ivoire on July 10, 2023.
