Christian Yoka is an expert in development financing. Before his appointment as Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, he held senior positions at the French Development Agency (AFD), including Director for Africa and Regional Director for East Africa in Kenya. He also served as Country Manager for Cameroon and the Central African Republic, and Country Director for the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and Cameroon.

With over 20 years of experience, he has developed expertise in development issues, collaborating with public and private sector actors. He has been a board member of entities such as Alucam and Africa Guarantee Fund and chaired the Advisory Investment Committee of FISEA, an AFD Group investment fund.

Mr. Yoka holds a graduate degree in Business and Tax Law from Paris-I-Panthéon-Sorbonne University, a Master’s in International Banking and Finance Law from Boston University, and is an alumnus in public policy from London University (SOAS).
