Dr Vera Songwe est une économiste camerounaise de renom, spécialisée dans les domaines du développement durable, de la finance et des politiques économiques en Afrique. Elle est présidente et fondatrice du Liquidity and Sustainability Facility (LSF), une initiative visant à améliorer la liquidité et la durabilité financière sur le continent africain. En tant que conseillère principale auprès de la Banque des Règlements Internationaux (BRI), elle se concentre sur les cycles de risque de crédit ainsi que sur les mesures réglementaires et de supervision pour les gérer. Le Dr Songwe co-préside le Groupe d’experts du G20 sur le climat, la finance et la dette (TF Clima) et est chercheuse principale invitée au sein du département de l’économie mondiale et du développement de la Brookings Institution. Elle est reconnue comme une championne mondiale du climat et co-préside, aux côtés de Lord Nicholas Stern, le Panel d’experts indépendants de haut niveau sur le financement climatique. Sous les trois dernières présidences de la COP, ils ont œuvré à promouvoir l’investissement climatique comme moteur de croissance du XXI\u1d49 siècle.\u200b<\/p>\n

En tant que défenseure de l’Association internationale de développement (IDA), le Dr Songwe collabore avec les pays, les banques multilatérales de développement, leurs actionnaires et le secteur privé pour fournir des liquidités aux nations nécessitant une transition vers une croissance verte.
