Under Coura\u2019s stewardship, Wave has witnessed explosive growth in Senegal, Cote d\u2019Ivoire and increasingly, the rest of Francophone West Africa. As Regional Director, her responsibilities include strategic policy and public relations projects. She coordinates the Wave Mobile Money Group&#8217;s relations with regional political authorities and regulators.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Sene worked as a software engineer and then as a project manager in the insurance sector in France for over a decade. In 2012, she returned to Senegal to support the growth and innovation the African continent witnessed, especially Francophone Africa. She has supported multiple companies in digitization through technical advisory and was one of the early supporters of the role of mobile money services in achieving financial inclusion in the WAEMU region.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Sene has a Master\u2019s in engineering and graduated from the prestigious Polytech Polytech\u2019Lille, University of Lille, in France. She is passionate about technology and the power of Fintechs in driving economic transformation on the African continent.<\/p>\n<p>Coura Sene is a member of Senegal&#8217;s National Digital Council, which plays a key role in the strategic direction of the country&#8217;s digital transformation. Coura brings her expertise in fintech and financial inclusion to contribute to implementing the \u201cTechnological New Deal\u201d, Senegal&#8217;s new digital strategy, and will advise on issues relating to innovation and digital development in the country. Ms. Sene also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Auchan S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, one of the largest multinational retailers in the world. She is an avid supporter and contributor to various initiatives encouraging Women\u2019s Economic Empowerment on the continent.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<p>FR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mme Coura S\u00e8ne fait partie des dirigeants et leaders en Afrique de l\u2019ouest avec plus de 20 ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans les secteurs de la monnaie \u00e9lectronique, des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications et des assurances.<\/p>\n<p>Elle occupe actuellement le poste de Directrice R\u00e9gionale et des Affaires Publiques chez Wave Mobile Money et est un membre cl\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e9quipe dirigeante. Sous la direction de Mme S\u00e8ne, Wave a connu une croissance explosive au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, en C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire et, de plus en plus, remarqu\u00e9e au sein de l\u2019espace francophone. En sa qualit\u00e9 de Directrice R\u00e9gionale, ses responsabilit\u00e9s incluent des projets strat\u00e9giques en mati\u00e8re de politique et de relations publiques. Elle coordonne les relations du groupe Wave Mobile Money avec les autorit\u00e9s politiques et les r\u00e9gulateurs r\u00e9gionaux.<\/p>\n<p>Mme S\u00e8ne concr\u00e9tise une riche carri\u00e8re en tant qu\u2019ing\u00e9nieur logiciel \u00e0 la base puis en qualit\u00e9 de chef de projet travaillant dans le secteur des assurances en France pendant plus d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie. En 2012, elle d\u00e9cide de retourner au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal pour accompagner la croissance et l\u2019innovation dont elle est devenue une figure majeure \u00e0 travers le continent africain. Elle a accompagn\u00e9 plusieurs entreprises dans la digitalisation par le biais de conseils techniques et a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019une des premi\u00e8res \u00e0 soutenir le d\u00e9veloppement des services financiers num\u00e9riques comme passerelle pour l\u2019inclusion financi\u00e8re dans la r\u00e9gion de l\u2019UEMOA.<\/p>\n<p>Mme S\u00e8ne est titulaire d\u2019une ma\u00eetrise en ing\u00e9nierie et est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de la prestigieuse Polytech Polytech\u2019Lille, Universit\u00e9 de Lille, en France. Elle est passionn\u00e9e par la technologie, les questions d\u2019\u00e9conomie num\u00e9rique, et la capacit\u00e9 disruptive des fintechs \u00e0 travers le continent africian.<\/p>\n<p>Coura S\u00e8ne est membre du Conseil National du Num\u00e9rique du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, qui joue un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la direction strat\u00e9gique de la transformation num\u00e9rique du pays. Coura met son expertise en fintech et en inclusion financi\u00e8re au service de la mise en \u0153uvre du \u00ab New Deal Technologique \u00bb, la nouvelle strat\u00e9gie num\u00e9rique du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, et conseille sur les questions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;innovation et au d\u00e9veloppement num\u00e9rique du pays.Mme S\u00e8ne si\u00e8ge comme administrateur ind\u00e9pendant aupr\u00e8s du conseil d\u2019administration d\u2019Auchan S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, l\u2019une des plus grandes multinationales de distribution au monde.
