Albert G. Zeufack\u00a0is the World Bank Division Director for Angola, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Sao Tome and Principe. Prior to this assignment, he was the Country Director for the same countries and from 2016 to 2022, Dr. Zeufack held the position of Chief Economist for the World Bank\u2019s Africa region.<\/p>\n
A Cameroonian national, Dr. Zeufack joined the World Bank in 1997 as a Young Professional and started his career as a research economist in the macroeconomics division of the research department. Since then, he has held several positions in the World Bank\u2019s Africa, East Asia and Pacific, and Europe and Central Asia regions. Between 2008 and 2012, when on leave from the World Bank, he served as Director of Research and Investment Strategy\/Chief Economist for Khazanah Nasional Berhad, a Malaysian Sovereign Wealth Fund.<\/p>\n
Between 2012 and 2016, he was Sector Manager for Poverty Reduction, Economic Management (PREM) for the African Great Lakes, Practice Manager in the Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice, and leader of the World Bank-wide Community of Practice for the Management of Natural Resources Rents.<\/p>\n
Dr. Zeufack received his Ph.D. in economics from CERDI, the University of Clermont-Ferrand (France) where he taught before joining the World Bank. He holds a master\u2019s degree in economic analysis and policy from the University of Yaound\u00e9 (Cameroon) and has received Executive Education from Harvard University and Stanford University.<\/p>\n
Dr. Zeufack is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the Natural Resource Charter at the University of Oxford, a member of the Advisory Board of the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), a member of the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Network, and a member of the Board of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","evenement-salon":[250],"class_list":["post-467918","sb_speaker","type-sb_speaker","status-publish","hentry","evenement-salon-250"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
