In 2012, he was Minister of Industry and Mines of C&ocirc;te d&rsquo;Ivoire. In 2010, he joined the World Bank as Resident Representative in Chad, after serving in 2009 as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo on macroeconomics, private sector development, and public enterprise reform.<\/p>\n<p>At BCEAO, he held several senior positions: Special Advisor to the Governor (2007\u20112008), General Controller and Director of the Department of Economic and Monetary Studies (2006\u20112007), Director of Studies (2003\u20112006), and Director of International Relations (2000\u20112003).<\/p>\n<p>In C&ocirc;te d&rsquo;Ivoire, he was Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and President of the National Investment Committee (1996\u20111999), following his role as Economic and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister (1991\u20111995).<\/p>\n<p>He began his career at the IMF in 1982, serving as Senior Economist for Guinea-Bissau, Togo, Cape Verde, and Senegal, before becoming Resident Representative in Senegal eight years later.<\/p>\n<p>A polyglot, he speaks French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
