Previously, he was the World Bank&rsquo;s Vice President for Infrastructure. Prior to that, Mr Diop served for six years as the World Bank&rsquo;s Vice President for Africa. An economist by training, he began his career in the banking sector before joining the IMF and then the World Bank.
