English-French-Portuguese translation available.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>West Africa carries some of the continent&#8217;s steepest challenges: a fast-growing population, wide gaps in infrastructure and jobs, and acute exposure to climate shocks. It is also one of the most profitable investment frontiers in Africa with a youthful population and growing middle class. Turning that promise into results takes more than capital. It takes strong institutions, new forms of partnership, and the capacity to convert investment into real development. As the development finance institution of the fifteen West African countries, the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is deepening its role as a regional partner to governments, businesses, investors, and development institutions.
